Rockstar games are known for placing hidden Easter eggs in their games, and Grand Theft Auto V is no exception. The game is awash with hidden Easter eggs if you look hard enough.
One such secret has emerged in the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game. It involves a secret mine and a murder mystery.
The mine is only accessible via using grenades or C4 to blow up the entrance to it. Walk just a little inside the mine and you will uncover a dead body. But who the duck is the dead body and how did he end up in a sealed off mine? If you put the pieces together and do some detective work, it starts to make some sense.
The dead body is wearing a pin-striped suit and a trilby hat, pretty much the go to uniform for mafia gangsters. Those among you that have played L.A. Noire (another Rockstar game) perhaps can fit the pieces of the puzzle together.
In L.A. Noire the main character was Cole Phelps. A detective who wore an uncannily similar suit and hat to that of the body in the mine. But there is more, at the end of L.A. Noire he came to his end by drowning…in a mine of all places.
So is this Cole Phelps remains in GTA V as an Easter egg? Check out the video:
